The project Light Rail Transit (LRT)

Prasarana is a Malayan Land Transport Authority which was recently implementing the Light Rail Transit (LRT) extension project, starting from Ampang to Putra Height. The project is one of the Transportation Infrastructure initiatives to cater the increasing population of Greater Kuala Lumpur in the future. Car park building is part of the important axillary structure to LRT station which is to provide parking space for the LRT commuters.


Station 10 is a station located at USJ 21, Subang Jaya which was abandoned for more than 15 years due to poor management. The car park flooring was deteriorated and contaminated with oils, grease, surface contaminants and severely cracked.

After thoroughly bidding, VIACOR won and obtained the contract for the installation of the car park coating work. VIASOLPERM DECK, VIACOR’s certified coating according to Green Label, was selected to be used at the lowest car park level due to its breathable property.

This allows water vapour within the concrete to escape and yet the flooring is impervious to surface liquids. VIACOR designed VIASOLPERM DECK to withstand the oils and fluids spilled by cars on a parking deck and still to perform the floorings intended function.

Intermediate deck - before - after

All intermediate decks of the car park were coated with VIASOLDECK ID, a multi-layer solvent free, elastic polyurethane crack bridging car park coating system. The
specialists chose VIASOLDECK TD, an elastomeric polyurethane waterproofed car park coating system for the exposed car park roof, finished the coating with
directional signs and pictograms whose reflective characteristic brighten up the car park space.
