The chemical and physical hardening of our products based on reactive resins depends, among other things, on the air, soil and material temperature as well as the humidity. This means that unpleasant side effects during processing cannot be ruled out. Longer curing and reaction times, resulting in longer waiting times before reworkability, lower strengths when commissioning renovation areas and, in the worst case, incomplete crosslinking of two- or multi-component products such as carbamate formation and other moisture damage caused by reaching dew point temperatures can be the result. Furthermore, due to the higher viscosity, the consumption values of the materials used also increase.
Here we would like to point out the minimum and maximum temperatures noted in the individual technical data sheets and ask you to take these into account. You will receive these information sheets as a registered user in the service area. If you have any questions about registration, please send us an email.
Further measures to be followed when planning the construction site are:
- Timely material planning for your construction site delivery, including that
Logistics companies depend on the weather - Delivery at least one day before the start of work and tempering
materials to the required processing temperatures - Temperature of the rooms to be coated up to the required minimum
temperatures of air, substrate and material to be used. Underfloor heating
and throttle or switch off during the application.
ATTENTION: Fan heaters can cause rapid damage to watery products
Drying of the water film on the surface and lead to skin formation. No
Gas heaters or fan heaters that burn oil directly in the building are used
these can lead to dew point shifts.
As an alternative, you can use quick- and low-temperature hardening VIASOL reactive resins. Our sales staff or our technical service will be happy to advise you about possible alternatives.
Frost-sensitive products, such as our water-based EP coatings or EP and PUR sealings, must be transported using thermal transport for technical reasons. In these cases, a freight surcharge must be charged. We ask for your understanding in the spirit of our quality standards.
In your own interest, we ask you to plan your construction project in good time. A claim for compensation for materials that are difficult to process, increased material consumption or for damage resulting from weather-related influences cannot be made.
