We congratulate our partner ELNIA Ltd. for the successful insatllation of the sports flooring system PORPLASTIC SW competition on Cyprus.

KOEAS, the Cyprus Amateur Athletic Association, a member of the European Athletics Association, can be proud of its success.

Despite severe limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, KOEAS achieved their pre-set goals: to successfully organise the European Athletics Team Championships Third League games, and the Cypriot National Team to win its promotion to the Second League, in the newly renovated Tsirio Stadium in Limassol.

Everything had to be ready on time for the Games on June 19th 2021, including the newly-installed synthetic running track.

The organizer of the games , KOEAS, awarded the contract on a very tight schedule to our installation partner ELNIA Ltd.

For everyone involved, it was a difficult challenge indeed. Both the production and logistics planning in Germany, as well as the installation of the sports flooring system in Cyprus,
took place during a European partial lockdown and a raw materials shortage crisis. However, despite all adversities and under high pressure, everything ran smoothly.

Teamwork and Know How

The challenge: Two months from order to delivery of the stadium’s running track. What was needed was perfect planning and execution on behalf of everyone involved in production, construction and installation. The teams which handled the processing of the order, the production and the logistics, mastered their respective challenges in the best way possible. Almost 30 tonnes of coating material left the plant in Rottenburg and were delivered in Cyprus on time without any damages. Under high pressure, our partner ELNIA Ltd subsequently installed the athletic track.

Trackmaster International, an accredited company of World Athletics, assessed that all requirements were successfully met, so that ELNIA Ltd, was able to proudly present the only Class 1 athletic track in Cyprus.
